It is estimated that over 50 million Canadians & Americans are bothered by the appearance of veins on their face, thighs, calves, ankles.  There is no longer a need to live with unsightly veins.  The laser works by using its light energy, which is transferred into heat energy that collapses the selected vessel. Once eliminated, the vessels turn brown in colour, and the wastes are absorbed through the body’s natural metabolism process.

What does it treat?
IPL Treatment for Spider Veins can effectively diminish the appearance of spider veins in the legs and face. The treatment will work on:

• Spider veins range in size from .01 – 3.0 mm
• Small red and blue veins
• Rosacea

Who is it for?
Recommended for most skin types, however some complexions are not well suited for this procedure. There should be no UV or sun tanning for 3-4 weeks pre and post treatment

About the procedure:
Clients will receive a comprehensive skin consultation with our qualified Medical Aesthetician  to determine what will work best for them. It is recommended that individuals avoid sun exposure with any IPL procedure for three – four weeks prior to treatment, during the course of treatment, and after treatment for as long as it is  recommended. Exposure to the sun increases the amount of pigment in the skin, what the IPL reacts to – this increases the risk potential to burn during the procedure. Depending on the severity of spider veins, some individuals may need multiple treatments for noticeable results.

Specific aftercare guidelines:

• Wear your sunscreen at all times – no exception regardless of the weather.
• Treat your skin gently – do not scrub, scratch or pick at it.

• Do not use a sauna or hot tub for 2 weeks after treatment.
• You can use an ice pack post treatment.
